Pilot Officer Tom Sherrington : Fallen Eagle - Pilot Portrait
Lieutenant Ripke of 8/JG26 in combat with Pilot Officer Tom Sherrington of No.92 Squadron high above the Sevenoaks area of Kent on the 25th October 1940.
On 21st September 1940, Tom Sherrington had the dubious honour of being shot down by Adolf Galland, one of the Luftwaffe's most renowned aces. Tom successfully force-landed his Spitfire at Hildenborough and emerged uninjured.
