Missing - Scenes of the Battle of Britain print
Sergeant John Brimble, No.73 Squadron, posted missing on 14th September 1940. His Hurricane was shot down over Maistone, Kent at 16:05hrs. He was 23 years old.
At the time, the wreckage of his aircraft could not be found. It was located exactly forty years after his death, at Chart Sutton.
