Formed in 1935, Jagdgeschwader 2 'Richthofen' was one of the most famous and successful Luftwaffe units of the Second World War. JG2 served in Poland, France, the Battle of Britain, North Africa and in defence of the Reich and in its time produced many renowned aces. We have a very special collection of Jagdgeschwader 2 prints, several of which are hand-signed by surviving JG2 pilots.

SE4 - Battle above the Clouds - Jagdgeschwader 2 Art

Gruppenkommandeur of 1./JG2 Richthofen, and at this moment the world's highest scoring fighter ace, Major Helmut Wick meets his match, 28th November 1940. Wick was forced to bale out over the English Channel. His body was never found.

LE7 - Aces High - Jagdgeschwader 2 Art

Pilots of Stab III/JG2 'Richthofen' with their Focke-Wulf 190 fighters in northern France, 1942. This print is a limited edition of 525, and is signed by Oberleutnant Armin Faber, one of the depicted pilots. Oberleutnant Faber later mistakenly landed his Focke-Wulf 190 in Wales, giving the Allies an intact example of what was then a new German fighter type.

LE9 - Lone Wolf - Jagdgeschwader 2 Art

Oberleutnant Armin Faber of Stab III/JG2 'Richthofen' in combat with Sergeant Trejnar of No. 310 Squadron on June 23rd 1942. Immediately after this incident, Faber mistakenly touched down at RAF Pembrey in South Wales and was captured, along with his aircraft.
